Starting to hate Firefox! I need professional advice

I love everything about this browser except the fact that every page I visit I have to hit CTRL + F5 to make sure I get the latest version of that page.

I tried the following 2 tweaks in Firefox which didn't help at all:

If you want Firefox to automatically refresh pages when you load them so that you always get the latest page when you access a site (very helpful in Message Boards to ensure you are viewing the latest threads and posts, do this:

In the Firefox address bar at the top, type about:config
Then type in browser.cache.check_doc_frequency
Change the value to 1 to force a cache refresh so that the page is refreshed automatically upon every visit.

Other values you may want to consider (ie. you want to revert back to the normal refresh mode):
3 - only check if it seems outdated
2 - always use cached version
1 - always check for newer version
0 - check for newer version once per session

Then, in the about:config page, paste this:

network.http.use-cache

Then double click on it so that the value turns from True to False

This will force Firefox to always get the latest version of the webpage rather than load it from cache

Even with those 2 settings in place, sometimes when I visit www.majorgeeks.com and I hit CTRL + F5, I see new software appears on the page! so its like Firefox never refreshes a page! happens on many forums too

I loved the setting in IE where you can easily choose to get the latest version of the page upon every visit or every session.

The only reason holding me from switching back to IE now is the fact that I cannot live with ads anymore and couldn't for the life of me find a way to block ads easily in IE without having to manually edit the hosts file and add each ad to the list and I didn't know how to use the Easy List with IE

Please help me...is this issue also there on Firefox v3 or is it on all versions of Firefox?

PS: Please don't tell me to use Chrome or Opera I hate both of them, sucky interface

How do you guys surf the net with such an annoying thing?

Ok...someone from the Wilder security forums advised me to set my Firefox cache to 0...let's see if that solves the problem:

attachment.php

There also may be an issue with your profile. I'd make a backup of that and try to use a new one after deleting the current and see if that helps if you continue to have issues.

It could be some add-on causing this. I haven't seen this issue, though I run my session mostly in private-mode.

I have never seen this issue ever, never had to clear my cache to get the recent site.

Edit: Cache to 0 is absurd. This should NOT be the issue, even with a 1GB of cache you should always get the most recent version of a page.
