Starting to get real sick of this board

I've had this board (DFI Lanparty UT CFX3200-DR) for about a year and a half now, and since then I've changed the video card, PSU, sound card, CPU, and pretty much everything but optical drives. Throughout these changes, the most annoying error I've ever had with any board has persisted:

About 5 minutes after startup, after the machine has been powered off a few hours, the entire screen locks. Mouse, keyboard, everything is frozen. Zero response. Always have to reset, and usually after that it'll be okay.

Except for recently. Recently, after the first reset to get rid of the initial lockup I just mentioned, if I go to play a game like TF2 or Stalker, the exact same thing will happen after a few minutes of playing the game. Incidentally, when there's any sound coming through the speakers at all, whether from Winamp or Audio from a game, at the point of lockup the speakers make a single continuous high-pitched "eeeeeeeeeeeee" sound. Think of the sound of your ears ringing. This doesn't happen if there's no sound being produced, such as if I'm just on the internet or something.

So, the machine locks up under two circumstances: 1.) The first startup after a few hours of dormancy. 2.) When under graphical stress, such as in a game. This isn't always a guaranteed result. There are times when I'll play for hours with no lockup, but the computer doesn't lock up unless either it's the first startup I mentioned, or it's under graphical stress.

Note #1: Something I should mention is that there are devices in the hardware manager that I can't identify, and hence have no driver. One of them is simply listed as PCI device. I have no idea what that is, because the video driver is installed, and so is the sound driver. I disabled these items, and the problem still persists.

Note #2: I have never flashed this board's BIOS. I don't know if that's would fix anything.
