Starting Salary for Cable Company (High-speed Helpdesk) request?

A buddy of mine is applying for HD position for a local cable company for their High-Speed Connection.. What should the requested salary requirements be? I have no idea anymore..

If it's local, I'm assuming it's some kind of co-op of sorts which pay lower than many national ISP's. Unless he's on the coasts I can't think that it would pay that high...maybe $27,000-$32,000...all depending on benefits of course.

I doubt it's that high, probably very low $20's.

See this is why you always should get a job though someone you know. This way you know exactly the pay scale/going rate. I simply add 25% to that to start. I hate silly games of salary negotiation and mysterious interviewers.

Another cup of coffee spit into my monitor! 😛

Seriously, if this is entry level, hope for maybe $25k a year. I'm in the $40's for a similar position but I've got some experience too...
