It's just this time, where we are thinking of where we are going w/ our lives, and me and my brother thought of what are the possiblities of opening our own business. Actually, he has this desire more, since I am in college, and I will be willing to help out.........

Our first guess is a laundry place......what do you guys think of that? a self serve type of store, but w/ also service where we can iron and dry clean and all that stuff.......

Or maybe a supplement store......where we sell vitamins, and health related stuff.....GNC like.

any body have any experience in opening their own business? how do these two ideas sound??

any other ideas?

The place that we found, is a new building, close to walmart, and a gym...........so that's why we thought of these 2 ideas?

if you want a neon AND a viper, you'll be take it in the butt for a few bucks

j/k 🙂

supplement store is a good idea, seems like everyones taking some kind of over-the-counter non traditional medicine nowadays

Get a copy of the 2004 Almanac. It has a list of which franchises cost the least to open a new branch of, and which are growing fastest.

A laundry place would be good. As long as it is in a good area and your property isn't going to get facked up. My SO and I used to drop $20 every week when we lived in an apt.

You have a lot more to think about before even start to get serious about this. Take it from someone who is in the process of starting thier own business. After you decide what you are going to do, set goals and work towards that goal. It is going to take me over a year before i get to open my doors. Dont get me wrong, it is a lot of fun.

good points, it's a huge process if you want to be successfull.
especially if you need funding
it took me 1 month to finalize the business plan
it took me 3 months to find a business name

When you decide to get serious, look for a Small Business Development Ceter. (SBDC) They are the people who are helping me out with my plan and financial information. They will help you more that you can imagine.
