Afternoon,

I have been in the process of starting my own E-business selling designer fashion (i.e. Gucci, Burberry, Armani etc) For the last few months I have been searching the web for genuine dropshipper lists but have been met with scam after scam. Out of the 15 lists I have purchased, only one has been genuine, [Link Removed ] but even that did not have everything I needed. Before I started my search I knew that the majority of these "Lists" would be fake. So it came to no surprise.

I have been asking around and am currently stuck needing some help or just some pointers. I have seen a lot of good advice given from the AnandTech community and am hoping that someone may be able to assist me in my predicament. Thank you.

Before you drop ship, make sure you order a few items from them first. Then ask them if they drop ship.

there are wholesaler forums that you should look into they also offer group buys for people to get in on so you know it's legit.

Do you know of any of these forums by address or name? I have also ran across a few fake forums with posts only from scammers.

No offense but, all dropshippers dropship. Now you may be refering to ordering some things from Light Bulk wholesalers and then maybe ask them if they also dropship?

Is there no trade magazine or industry group that represents people in your business? That would be a good place to start - talking to others in the same business.

Am I the only one who thinks this is an advertisement in disguise?

Being that I am new on the block I really do not know anyone to talk to. My only resources of knowledge has been 4 years of Entrepreneur Magazine, 100+ various books on business, e-tail, e-business and various web sites. As far as human contact goes this forum is all. I did try contacting various fashion retailers and even the actual manufacturers via email, but the only replies I received was from the other retailers who 'came-off' as not wanting to help the competition-sorta-thing. Thanks again.

No.

Thats the exact thing I am thinking.

If it would make you feel better I have no problem removing the link from my OP. If I were trying to advertise that link I wouldn't (In right mind) follow it up with "but even that did not have everything I needed."

But feel as you may I am not here to apease, just seeking help. :

the problem is that if someone knows a good dropshipper, they won't want to share that info with you.

This seems to be the case. Sadly. But I won't give up, I will hire "Little-people" to scour the net for me while I sleep if I have to.

Isn't that what the people on the link you provided do ? I believe so.

Yes, but for the companies/products that I am looking to sell they only listed drop shippers that had single items like watches or sunglasses for example. I am looking to sell a wider variety of products. (i.e. shoes, purses, suits, shirts, pants)

Is it possible there is no dropshipper which handles the items you want to sell?

If you know that there is, why not order a couple things from them and see if you can figure out where they actually came from? And would it be a real problem if you had to deal with multiple dropshippers for different items?

Dealing with multiple dropshippers is actually what I planned on. And yes there is always that chance that there are not dropshippers that supply what I want to sell. I can only hope that is not the case.
