I am kind of nervous starting here, because going by the instructional video i had to watch, i have about 7 things i am responsible for.

Anyone have any suggestions for me to keep myself from worrying?

Hopefully you work at a place that is expensive. I think you'll get more tips that way. I have always wanted to work as a bus boy part time, maybe one day a week so that it isn't too stresful on my life.

My first starting job was working as a grocery store bagger. Then I got a easy job as a security guard when I was in college. Man, I remember those days. :)

Just remember that people's lives are at stake here. One slip up could cost the lives of millions.
The terrorists will probably try to slip in a dirty fork somewhere. You MUST prevent any casualties!

Congrats to you for being able to degrade yourself to that. I have an opportunity at the Outback but I can't bring myself to it.

why don't you stfu. it's probably the kid's first job, and there's nothing wrong with working as a busboy. do you actually have a job yourself or do you still sponge off mommy and daddy?

There's never anything degrading about working for an honest living. What planet do you live on? I'll give him proper respect for actually caring about how well he will perform his responsibilities too. That's a trait missing in many workers, not just young ones.

Great start - know that if you keep educating yourself, work hard and keep your eyes open for opportunity it is all uphill from here. Much nicer to hear this than the coddled college grad who wakes up and realizes ten years have gone by and he is still bartending and living at home.

yup, this is my first job, aside from mowing lawns around the neighborhood . It's a good company to work for (Bill Miller BBQ). They help with college funds, eventually when i get up there, and work around school schedules. I just hope i can stick with it long enough.

I was a busboy at a family restaurant, and I didn't get tips. Cleaning the Women's bathroom is the most disgusting job I've ever had to do, too :(

What a bastard, indeed.

My first job was a busboy at 14. I'm now a full blown project manager (post college) and climbing.

Everyone has humble starts. Go waste more of your mommy and daddy's $$.
