went shopping (not much) yesterday/last night...was cRaZy...hope u guys survive the madness............then again, there's always gift cards. that way u can be in & out of malls or whichever store.

Was at my local *grocery* store yesterday, and they had a huge end cap full of gifts cards, best buy, StarBucks, Barnes and Noble, HomeDepot, LOT'S to choose from. I ended up with 3 gift cards, very convenient, very easy, nice.

Sounds like my jobs gift section. What grocery store is it? Did they also have the gift card commerical with a mom and son talking playing @ times lol?

My store closes @ 6pm and its a 24 hour store, so ya some will.

No actually stores are staying open incredibly late on Christmas Eve. I know Macy's was staying open until midnight I believe. They've been open for the past 3 or 4 days straight.

The point of giving someone a gift is because you know them and can probably guess what they like. Whereas gift cards are limited/tied to a store. Wouldn't it make more sense if you really don't know what your receipent likes in particular, just give them cash?

I actually went to target today at around 4, and it was totally normal. Like, everyday shopping. Of course, some things in the dvd section were sold out, but it was mostly all square.

Today was pretty claim. The big mess was on Saturday though. We had a trailer full of groceries to stock because of the XMAS shopping. Our chip isle was empty almost and our tissue/paper towel isle was almost wiped clear. I didn't expect today to be as mad as yesterday. The streets here was almost very quiet for some reason.... like everyone stayed home. I did make a run to toy r us to pick up a family game board for a gift. The lines in Toysrus was almost non existence today lol..
