ive got a laptop here that gets an error saying:
c:\windows\system32\drwtsn32.exe
The NTVDM CPU has encountered an illegal instruction
i can choose close or ignore. if you choose either the computer finishes starting up and then all i see is the background. no start menu or icons. '
i know drwtsn32.exe has something to do with dr watson. im going to try and boot into safe mode and remove the program to see if that works. anyone got any advice while i try that?
edit* wow i get the error booting into safe mode and once again the computer is not usuable.
edit** i tried pulling up control panel without clicking on either options and got blue screen then restart.
eidt*** i got to startup and work using diagnostic startup via msconfig. drwatson is not installed and nothing i could find would cause the error...?
