i got both frong wheel lifted on jack stand. i want to crank it up but afraid it enginge pressure might make jack stand loose.

a camera rolling where least expected is an accident waiting to happen. :0.
its on stands and no jack
just need the egnine on to make the pump run. so that it can pump old fluid out.

You should have no trouble. Just leave it in park or if you have a manual, in neutral.

I do it all the time.

It's fine. When I took my engine out I had it on jack stands; was moving the whole damn engine back and forth trying to jiggle it loose with the engine hoist chains.

Agreed....never use the engine to pump any sort of fluid out, unless its an automatic tranmission your working on and its hooked up to a machine.
