A friend made an old NES controller into a belt buckle. Now what he's asking me is, is there any way I can make the buttons play the theme song. What's the easiest way to pull this off? I don't even have a starting point on this because I'm an utter n00b to IC's.

The easiest might be to gut some little toy or small electronic gizmo that plays music, and replace its memory chip with one that contains the song you want it to play. Even that's nontrivial, though.

Actually that's a good idea. Any ideas as to where I'd find one of those memory chips?
