I'm in the pre planning stages of starting a cyber cafe and gaming center. Would anyone happen to know of any good online references I could check out? I'm looking for general advice and ideas. The only thing I've found using google is igames.org, with their private forums, that require a $120 startup and $20 per month fee to access their private forums.

Any sites or forums that might have useful info out there, or would anyone here happen to know a thing or two about the subject?

Thanks.

Advice:

1) Buy the OS and games
2) Install a program that does not allow them to download or otherwise use the computer normally -- YOUR CD KEYS WILL BE STOLEN
3) Install security cameras and try to make the monitors visible to you
4) You need snacks, lots of snacks. Instant noodles, shrimp crackers, etc.
5) Good price system. In Toronto, it's $2/hour, $10 for 6 hours or $10 for 10am/pm-10pm/am
6) Clean washroom. This is very important.

That's what I was thinking. Do people still go to Cyber Cafes? I thought pretty much everyone had home PCs and such by now. I didn't know those things still existed.

Go to NYC and check out web2zone. I was really impressed by it. Heck, they have franchising opportunities so maybe you should just open one up.

Might as well hire armed security guards because you'll attract the wrong element.
