Best Buy will have it on sale on 12/30 at 15% off PNY Video Cards plus you can get additional 10% Coupon from RZ mailers or USPS movers package.

Regular Price $300 - 45 (15%)= 255 - 25.50 (10% coupon) = 229.50

The PNY is a true vanilla card (reference design and clock speeds), and the warranty is only three years (plus an additional 2 years upon completion of a registration form on PNY's website). Their RMA service is also a mixed bag. BFG, XFX, and EVGA offer a true lifetime warranty.

it does not have the faulty fan that the BFG does.
The reference cards from BFG, EVGA, XFX (early models), PNY, Asus, Leadtek, etc. use identical hsf's (unless they have installed an aftermarket). Simply because a few people have experienced a problem with the BFG decal falling off doesn't make it a global issue.

Looking at the photos @ newegg on the same model, VCG88512GXPB , it's the same reference design W/O the sticker on the fan:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16814133205

So I guess it won't suffer the same fan failure that mine and others had with the BFG's sticker coming off and killing the fan.
I see an nvidia decal on the center of the fan. Browse the Newegg images and you'll see that all of the mfg's listed above, with the exception of PNY, put their own decal on the center of the fan. FWIW I have owned three BFG 8800GTOC's and none of them had a problem with the fan.

Checked @ Lansing, MI store. They looked the item up and no best Buy within 150 miles has one of these in store.

This card is about $22 more expensive.
The BFG was $237 - 12% = $209 +tax = ~$224.
This PNY will be ~$246 with taxes

I can't remember the last time I actually saw something in stock at BB when the pricing was really good. Kinda like...er, Dell. (Yes, I'm still waiting in that line).
