Well, I am finally getting around to doing this mod. Damn, it is labor intensive but it sure looks a heck of a lot better than all those multi-colored wires running throughout my system. So far I've done one entire power lead (w/2 connectors on it), one case fan and the connector running to my video card. Looks much better. Now I have the hard ones to do (with 3 & 4 connectors on one line).

Cool. You should take pics as you go...just so we can see what it all looks like. Please let us know how "short" you cut the sleeving. I.E. to leave room for the heatshrink at the end. What colors are you using?

I'm using black sleeving. I need more heatshrink though before I continue. I put everything back in so I could fire it up and make sure I put the connectors back together correctly. I took a pic but I can't seem to remember my password to the site below where I can post pics. Darn it...

I used 1/4" sleeving I bought from Fry's and 1/4" heat shrink. The hardest part is getting the wires through without fraying the end of the sleeving too much (especially difficult above 2 or more connectors because you are pushing twice as many wires through the sleeving).

CPU temps are in the mid 30C range (usually 34-35C) at 2500rpm (which is almost inaudible) and no O/C.

I have a side window on this case also, I'll throw up a few pics of that. I plan on doing some more sleeving this weekend.

Hey, nice case!!! That is indeed a PC60, but that's an aftermarket window. The PC65 is essentially a PC60 with a large, square window. I bought a PC65B. Same thing, but in black.

BTW, nice temps, JulesMaximus.

Thanks.

I don't like the location I put this window so I ordered a PC-65 side panel-it should be here by tomorrow. The problem with this window is that I put it too far back on the panel and the gasket rubs against the back of the case when I remove the side panel-making it difficult to remove and put back on.

I made the window myself but didn't think it would be a problem in that location. I also didn't realize how thick the gasket in the window kit was. I might mess around with it sometime and try to fix it but for now I'm just going with a PC-65 side panel.

That is a sweet case and great work on the sleeving.

My time is a premium with a soon to be 1 year old though. ;)

Hahaha, my wife was giving me a hard time about starting this project last night. I have a son who just turned 1 last weekend. Trick is to start it right around the time he goes to bed.

Yes, the hat and ribbon were my wife's idea. He lasted about 10 seconds with the hat on and the button looked like it was dragged around behind a car by the end of the day. They are precious though...There is nothing quite like having a child and you can't understand the bond until you actually have one of your own.

Looks good. I have most of mine hidden but I still get annoyed by the mass of wires that exit the power supply. The wires exit the power supply on the side closest to the window instead of the back of the case. I hate that. I have tried to think of some way to cover the whole grouping of wires but can't find anything I want to use (no tape!).

Any Suggestions?

I saw a pretty cool link to a website around here where this guy took chrome like tubing (from a flexible shower head) and put all his wiring in that. He had a clear case, everything inside was chromed and it looked really cool. This guy went all out though. Maybe you could do something like that with your wires up at the top of your case.

You have a pretty nice setup that also. Looks like we have similar video cards.

Is that chipset fan noisy at all? I might throw a blue LED cooler on my chipset since my fan seems to be working only about half the time.

BTW-I put a variable speed fan controller on my window fan and it lowered my noise level by almost half.

Yeah I saw the metal tubing. Pretty cool. I was thinking maybe I could find something like a sheet of thin colored rubber that I could just roll around the group of wires and zip tie it.

The chipset fan on the IC7-g isnot noisy in comparison to the stock heatsink fan. The five coolermaster fans do make a bit of noise but since its right beside the TV for home theatre purposes its not noticable. If I had it in an office enviroment or something I would probably work on quieting it down (rheobus/panaflo on heatsink).

Yep, the vid card is a AIW 9800 Pro.

Very nice, I was thinking in doing that since my system is pretty messy right now. So, I guess you can buy sleevs at Fry's, you know in which department?. I wan't to check it out.

Thank you

They do sell sleeving. It is in the electronics department. They also have a plethora of zip ties (in all sorts of colors) and other cable management options.

Yes, at least it is at the store in San Marcos, CA where I shop. Maybe your store is different. Did you ask someone?

Anyway, you might try Radio Shack also or just order it online.
