This morning I started getting the dreaded BSOD whenever I try to print from within AutoCAD or Word. I haven't tried printing from anything else. I tried reinstalling the printer to no avail. I am running XP and am on a network with networked printers. The BSOD occurs at differnet times during the print process...sometimes right when I hit the print button, sometimes when I'm choosing the printer to print to, and sometimes when I'm previewing the print. Upon reporting the error to Microsoft I get the message I shoudl reinstall video drivers which I did to no avail.

Here are the error messages I am getting:

On the actual Blue Screen of Death it says:
BAD_POOL_CALLER

On the window that pops up asking if I want to report the error to Microsoft I see the folliwng error message:
Error Signature
BCCode : c2 BCP1 : 00000041 BCP2 : 89A68000 BCP3 : 00009668
BCP4 : 0007FF2F OSVer : 5_1_2600 SP : 2_0 Product : 256_1

When I say that I want to report the error it opens a web page that gives me these messages:
Windows Error Reporting:
Error Message: STOP 0x000000EA THREAD_STUCK_IN_DEVICE_DRIVER (Q293078)

Follow these steps to solve the problem with a video device driver
You received this message because a device driver installed on your computer caused the Windows operating system to stop unexpectedly. This type of error is referred to as a "stop error." A stop error requires you to restart your computer.
Solution
There are two options you can use to try to fix the problem. If the first option doesn't work, then try the second.
Option 1: Install the most current device driver for your video card
Option 2: Manually decrease Hardware Acceleration for your video adapter

This is on my office computer and is not the system shown below when clicking on MY SYSTEM.

Also...I have added no hardware or software to this system for at least a few weeks.

Well, there may be something more precise that can be done to fix something like this. You may want to try a repair install on windows XP, if that doesn't fix it a format may have to be done if you can't find a specific fix that will leave the computer in good shape. One time I had issues with 2 HP printers connected to a computer. I uninstalled the software, I reinstalled it. I left it uninstalled and when windows tried to load it would just sit at a black screen or get a blue screen and reboot. I tried a repair install of windows and it didn't fix it. Then I did a format and install, installed the printer software and didn't have a single problem anymore.
