I started up my brother's 733 MHZ PIII the other day, and noticed how much faster it starts up than my 2 GHz Pentium Celeron.
This led me to the following thought: during the actual loading up of icons, and programs of Windows, my programs take a considerable amount of time to load up. I've noticed the two main culprits for this are probably Konfabulator, and NISC (Norton Internet Security Center). I was wondering if there was a way in which to configure Windows such that it would load up all the other programs first, and then load up Konfabulator, and then NISC. Or maybe, is there another way to streamline the start up of Windows.
TIA
