Either way, is there a list somewhere that can show me which processes are completely unnecessary during the Windows 7 startup? I want to try to make it as efficient as possible.
Programs that start during boot, that aren't part of the required Windows boot files, will entirely depend on what third-party programs you installed after installing Windows.
Autoruns for Windows v11.31 is available from Microsoft TechNet, will show you exactly what third-party programs start at boot, and it's freeware. You have to make the decisions about what to disable.
