Start UP Problems with GF2

Hi All,

I recently upgraded from a GeForce 256 SDR to a 32 MB GeForce 2 GTS from Creative Labs. Everything worked great with my old first-gen GeForce, but once I installled the GF2, I started getting start up problems. For example, If I leave the machine off for awhile, and boot it up, I get a long beep from my bios, and my new GF2 fails to be initialized. However, if I hit the reset button, it usually works fine and I can get into Windows and everything runs fine. My question is what is causing this ? is it the AGP slot ? the video card ? I have the latest bios. Could it be a bios setting ? Thanx for your time.
