Ok, i have two users, admin, and me.

Under docs and settings, we do not have anything in the startup folder for our respective folders.

the "all users" folder has stuff that is suppose to start up. it does.. but loads everything twice (or tries too.. some things just don't load twice).

Now, if i move all those to a certain user, then nothing loads up....

anyone have any ideas?

use Tweak UI or check the registry to make sure the startup directories are set to the right places.

I had the same problem. To fix it I removed the items from my Startup folder and entered the programs I wanted to load on startup directly into the registry in the following location:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

Example:

New String - 3dfx Task Manager

Value - "D:\Program Files\3dfx Interactive\3dfx Tools\Apps\3dfxMan.exe"

I highly recommend you backup your registry before messing with it. If you aren't confident about it, don't do it at all.

Hope it helps.
