Start the new gig tommorow

Well after three weeks of unemployment I will begin the trek back into productivity.

It really sucked getting laid off and while I had a bunch of offers I still waited to make a choice. So I am not moving I am staying in MN and I begin tommorow. Really looking forward to it as it is a big step up and I think I will do really well.

So I am going to bed early and then off @ 6:30 to start the new deal.

DUde I moved live 4 years ago.....

Would rather live in cali but MN is alot cheaper.

I had Job offers in AZ, NY, CO, WA/OR, IL, FLA, CA and decided to take a little less money to stay in MN

The kid just started school so he gets tto stay woith his new friends in scholl so that is pretty important.

Also the wife really likes it here.

My sister moved here about 1 year after we did and most of my frioends have left San DIego in search of cheaper pastures.

I was really thinking about moving to AZ but the heat and the thought of being on the road was not something I was looking forward to.

Well, you're doing something I would never be able to do. I don't think I could ever live permanently outside of California, and if I had the chance to move back once I did, I'd definitely take it. The costs are a lot but I love the weather. Using the air conditioner 2 days ago and lightning and thunder today.

Lived there my first 26 years and Yes I loved it BUT

My house was 115K where as the same house in San Diego with crime and stuff would be about 300K.

I actually got a pay raise when I moved so the wife stayds home with the rug rats.

I certainly gave up alot to move to the wintery north, we got over a foot of snow this weekend, but It was worth it.

The wife works part time at walmart and I work full time.
