I was looking at SMART counts on my drives and one of them really stands out. It's a 2G WD Green WD20EARX which seems to be running fine but a couple of the counters all real high:
Start/Stop Count - 15175
Load/Unload Cycle Count - 352787
This appears to be the result of aggressive head parking for energy savings. But these numbers seem insane and are way higher that any other HDD I own. WD specification for Load/Unload is 300000, so I have exceeded this count for reliability.
The drive is also nearing 5 years of power on time.
How concerned should I be about failure?
