Start Menu Missing!?

When I logged on to my Windows XP account my start menu and all my icons on my desktop were missing. Only my wallpaper is there. If I log into another account all is well. The problem only affects my User account. How do I fix this? When I log off I see the start menu for a split second.
 
Can you try hitting <Ctrl>+<Esc> to bring up the Start menu? If that works, try changing the size of the Taskbar. Or unlock the Taskbar.
