Start button & menu corruption with Geforce 2 MX

I recently had a Geforce 2 MX winfast installed into my machine, and have noticed that the start button is corrupted, and so is the side of the menu which it brings up. I'm using the official v 6.31 drivers off the Nvidia website, and this corruption also occurs with the reference drivers that came with the card.
I'm running it on a BX motherboard as well.

any ideas in what the problem might be?

Yes, I had the same disappearing start menu problem when using those drivers. I tried later versions and the problem went away. You can try the 6.34 or the 6.48 drivers and I believe they are both WHQL certified.
