Start/Bootup annoying problem help needed:

Presently running Abit SH6, Win2k pro, 850 PIII, 256 pc133 mem, 300w approved P4/amd power supply.

At Boot;
Only the case "HD and power lights" are on (Blank screen) when I hit the case on/off switch!! If I flip the PS switch (in the back) from on to off a few times, it boots up ok and nothing seems wrong because flipping the front case on/off switch does nothing at this point. I have flashed the latest mobo bios and have all the latest w2k drivers for video and sound. Runs great after it's finally booted up.

This has been an on going problem and thought the case 300w power supply was a cheap model or something, so I replaced it with a approved P4/AMD 300w unit named (L and C technology).

What can I do in a sequence of events to correct this annoying crap??

Thanks
Pete

I would check your case switch and or the switch connection to the mobo.

My guess is the case switch. Change it out with another one and try.
