Starhawk announced for PS3, mixes in RTS elements

Not exactly the best kept secret but Starhawk was formally unveiled last night.

The big hook for Starhawk is the addition of RTS elements plus transforming mechs/planes. It looks like a mash-up of Red Faction, Halo and Bulletstorm (without the insanity) to me.

Looks great to me. I think Warhawk is one of the most underrated and under appreciated MP games then generation. Starhawk looks like it may be even better.

The bolded is reminiscent of Robotech/Macross. I wonder how they'll implement it.

Either way, the overall concept sounds interesting. I hope it pans out in a year or whenever it's released.

Agreed. I can't wait for this! Warhawk was such a fun game to play. I just wish it gained more popularity. Sometimes I still go back and play it. It's still just as epic and as fun.
