Ummm.. WOW. I did not realise that this was coming tomorrow until I saw a half-assed TV promo yesterday. Now I gotta make an HMV run tomorrow...

I saw it. It was pretty good. Makes me miss SG-1. :( Also, it's a shame that RDA wasn't in it.

Just pre-ordered it from amazon, along with the "Ultimate Santana" album so I could get free shipping. :D

It was in my video store today. Just watched it. Not bad. Decent FX. Although Tealcs gray spots change in size from scene to scene.
Ties up the Ori story nicely.

I want to buy this. I'd really like it in Hi-def though. But I'm sure it will look awesome upsampled to 1080 p. I'll pick it up next time I'm in town.

Aha, finally. I saw it early ;)

It felt like the 2-part finale to the last season that they weren't able to broadcast - a direct continuation of the season story arc, with some fluff to lengthen it by a few more scenes. (The season was shorter than normal, too.) Not as well written, though... several parts didn't entirely make sense. e.g. Apparently a character can walk forever, with no sense of direction, and wind up in the right place just in the nick of time. And apparently our ships' shield power has been upgraded by about 50x.

Oh well :) Still a good fix for my sci-fi addiction.

Picked it up at Fry's today. Wish they had a Blu-Ray version. I was also looking to pick up the SG1 series box set, but Fry's was all out.

I loved Stargate. But as soon as RDA left from the main cast, the show went downhill
I guess the FX are cool. but the show has turned into "DURRRRR MA LAZORS R BIGGER THAN UR LAZORS"

ZPM. It's the NOS of the Stargate universe, just add one to your ship and your systems all become supercharged.*

At any rate it's a good movie and a nice end to the Ori arc. I'm looking forward to the second and presumably final SG-1 movie.:)

* As far as the plot is concerned, SG-1 got one of the spare Atlantis ZPMs after S10E10 specifically to augment the shields on the Odyssey so that it couldn't be blown out of the sky after 2 shots

On many of the Stargate forums, the producers have mentioned that if the two SG1 movies do well, they'll possibly look at doing a third SG1 movie.

Definitely enjoyed this movie, but it makes me miss SG-1 (Damn you sci fi channel for canceling them - and BSG)

I hope they do - but only if they can keep the quality high

I thought it was really good, just finished watching it. Hopefully the movies do well, but I wonder how that works when a lot of people just rent it like me, and the others who just illegally download it, at least I know the latter hurts them.

I would imagine the Asgard knowledge dump contributed a bit.

Finally had some time to watch it yesterday. Pretty good. Are spoilers allowed in this thread?

Anyway, can't wait until Continuum. I wonder what that one is going to be about.

Picked it up today, just finished watching it. Only thing that pisses me off is the glue on the box label stayed on, made a mess; wasn't more careful cause my usual tape-on-glue-pull worked so well the last few times... Ok, back to the movie;).

It was really well done. Sam's hair is a good look, and Tomin doesn't look like a tool anymore. It kept the Stargate (series) style and overall look. It wrapped the story up pretty nicely. Wish they had a bigger budgetthough; damn Stargate movie with Kurt Russell spoiled me. Can't wait t'ill the one with RDA comes out in a few months.
