Funny that the 100th episode plot essentially is coming to fruition. Only thing missing is puppets.

It's a shame they're basically holding it back for artificial reasons. It's done, they just don't want to release it until the season run for Atlantis is over, which happens to be March 7th.

I like this idea of releasing this direct to DVD. I think it's a great concept for great shows that might not have a strong enough following to maintain a TV series or be release as a theatrical movie. I would love to see Firefly/Serenity make direct to DVD movies too. And maybe this would be a good approach to revitalize the Star Trek franchise.

That's the approach Marvel is taking with some of their animated properties - Ultimate Avengers, Iron Man, Doctor Strange.

Yeah, Marvel is doing interesting things. I really enjoyed watching those DVDs.

I also like how they are releasing their comic books on DVD-ROMs. One of the reasons I stopped collecting comics was because of storage space. Getting every single issue of a comic book title on one DVD-ROM was a great idea and helps solve my storage space problem. I wish DC would do the same with their comics -- at least they are also doing direct to DVDs with some of their animated properties (Superman: Doomsday).

Did anyone actually get in to season 9-10 of sg-1? For me it just went way downhill, I seriously couldn't even watch past 3 episodes of 9. I guess I just assumed 10 sucked too, I haven't seen it.

Also, is Atlantis good? I was thinking of picking up a few seasons next time it's on sale.

I liked 9 and 10. It's a different feel, but it's good if you can accept the differences.

And I really like Atlantis.

Holy crap. That is one big budget.

For the love of god, please tell me they could "license"/steal the original Stargate movie's Stargate event horizon effect.

Anyways, can't wait.
