Not quite. He left the show for the season that is now on Sci-Fi, but is still on the season on Fox. If you didn't notice, they seamed to skip a season that was in between both stations. That is what is playing on Fox now (I think).

I have no idea, I just love the show. So I just assume what should have gone on, and plant that idea in my brain .

From what I understand, DJ (Michael Shanks) had some issues with the direction the show was taking in the 4th and 5th (I believe) seasons. However, he is supposedly signed up for Season 7, whose future was in doubt until a few days ago.

The hot cliche from last year, he turned into a "higher being" of glowing energy after getting a fatal dose of radiation on the planet where they picked up the smiling doofus who replaced him.

I heard he left after season 5 because he though the character was not being used to it's fullest potential and he did show up in 1 episode in season 6 and has confirmed to play the role in season 7

Negative sir. SG1 is only played in syndication on Fox. The series was originally on Showtime. Sci-Fi took over airing the series for the final season 6. Michael Shanks character left the show (was killed off) at the end of season 5, but guest stared in one episode in season 6. A new SG1 member from another world that Danial Jackson died in takes over.

When do the SG1's come on Sc-Fi. I tried to watch and one week it was Friday and the next it was not on??

I am glad it is coming back, great show, can't believe it has been on 6 years going on a final 7

Amanda Tapping I've only meet the guy who plays Teal'c (Chris Judge). He's a pretty nice guy but he's pretty down on marriage (has to pay his ex-wife lots of allimony )

I do know that Sci-Fi is airing episodes from Season 1 - 4 or 5 Mondays from 7pm-11pm. I forget when that started about a month ago. I dont know about you but the early seasons kind of bored me. They sometimes show newer episodes season 6? on fridays I forget starting when but its not on a consistent schedule.

I watch the show occasionally. I'm starting to like it more and more though. It's kinda funny cause I didn't know it was filmed here when I was watching it last night. They were on some planet that looked a LOT like SFU... That's when I realized

Yup......... was that the one where they are there to negotiate and the planet that looks like SFU has hu8ge @ss laser guns and the Gwauld (sp?) try to make a suprise attack? That was pretty cool

I think SCI-FI is showing half the season(season 6)...then a LOOONNNG break then showing the other half.

First half was on over the summer, I think the second half starts in Jan or Feb.

season 6 continues in january.. i want to say january 10th, cause maybe i read that somewhere.. but for sure it's january...

and dont' say final 7, cause you never know.. i hope it doesn't end in 7... it'll be interesting with daniel jackson comming back.. i wonder if it'll just be a 5 person team, or if they'll take jonas out

Hopefully it can outlive the X-Files in terms of numbers of series, and hopefully they'll do a 2nd movie/remake of the first as well as more series.
Stargate SG-1 is almost unarguably the finest TV show ever.
