Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis 8/20 - any good?

For those who watch SG-1 and Atlantis, is either of them better than its preview makes it look?

I'm trying to decide whether to keep playing Jagged Alliance 2: Urban Chaos, or switch to SG-1 and watch Teal'c be hunted for a murder he didn't commit! (gasp!) then watch someone play God with unforseen consequences!! (double gasp!!)

Didn't see the new ones... but I loved the one where he was stuck in the video game last week
I normally watch both, though Atlantis hasn't won me over yet. This week's previews just looked particularly weak, so I'm hoping for enlightenment from the sci fi fans of OT.

Atlantis was good, but I thought SG1 sucked it up this week. I just didn't like the way they had the storyline go, plus they need to leave the damn planet already. They've done too many earth-based episodes this season.

The plan seems to be to make Atlantis look good by making SG1 suck.
That may not be too far from the truth. The rumor is that the reason SG1 is doing so many earth-based episodes is because they share a crew with Atlantis, and Atlantis has been using all the money up in special effects, sets, etc.

They are setting ratings records for both of the shows. This has pushed the Scifi channel to being one of the top ten cable networks. This has got to bring in more money for ads.
