Hmm, I have a feeling its going to tank without any of the old characters, especially O'Neil. Richard Dean Anderson really kept the show alive in my opinion.

personally i was beginning to get annoyed at jack oniell's role. his attitude seemed way overdone in the last season.

but the series won't be the same 🙁

As for Atlantis, well see how it works. However I do have to say SG-1 is one of the best SciFi series ever made.

I know this is kinda unclear, but I think a few of us here are confused.


SG1 Season 8 will have hammond and O'Neil
SG1 Season 8

Atlantis is a spinnoff .. as in .. a seperate show.
Atlantis Season 1

In other words, there are going to be 2 Stargate shows now 🙂

i has a pvr myself(I hate commercials), I need to transfer them to dvd (yes I'm too cheap to buy the season box sets)

edit: I've watched sg-1 since it's pilot run on showtime (no commericals and no deleted scenes is really the way to go)

Yes I have every single episode myself also on my PC, and have watched ATLEAST every episode twice, most more.

I could prob name every episode also, used to play SG-1 Trivia in a SG-1 IRC channel (Used to share all the episodes) all the time, yes Im a major SG-1 geek, but that's ok, I even turned my g/f into one too 🙂 Her mom already liked it, she just never watched it.

Window of Opportunity is one of the funniest episodes too.

hah.. my daughter and her boyfriend are addicted to stargate.. and have done a good job addicting the rest of us.. since they've been home from school we've watched the first 6 seasons on DVD.. I dunno what we're gonna do next. start over maybe..

it has been a welcome respite from my husband's LOTR addiction..

I bought seasons 3 4 and 5 from outpost.com back when they had a special for like $30 each season.
I just bought Seasons 1 and 2 from http://www.dvdsoon.com ... it was like $35 Canadian for each season shipped ... thats below $30 in USD.

It took a while to get the stuff from DVDsoon, but it was well worth the wait in my case.

Season 1 35.98CAD
Season 2 35.98CAD
Season 3 35.98CAD

at DVDsoon, seasons 4, 5, and 6 are more expensive (but still better than many places)


I also suggest you check out dvdpricesearch and do a search for Stargate just to see if there's anything cheaper.
