WCIII is better
Nope. WC3 was good and good looking though.

I'd pay full-game price just for a resolution update to Starcraft. Love the game that much, and fear what could possibly be a disappointment in the sequel. Wasn't it X-Wing where they released a newer version with higher resolutions? Got that as part of a collectors pack I believe, and was pleasantly suprised.

I thought that was X-Wing vs. Tie Fighter

Not sure, but I think XvT came with resolution choices. If memory serves, X-Wing was 320x240(ish) and Tie was capable of 640x480. Seemed the X-Wing (Gold?) I later got hold of had 640x480 added on. Might have been done with a later version of Chuck Yaeger's Air Combat as well.

Anyhoo... I certainly hope that game companies think more about issuing updates to those few games that come along and are considered classics/legends. More money for them, more fun for us. As much as I'd love a sequel to Starcraft/Broodwars, I'd also want one with just updated resolutions as the original was such a perfect gaming experience.
