I haven't played the MP yet but seems like a lot of folks have it, the recent TF2 fight night that had a good turn out was fun. Anyone game for an attempt?
 
I will warn you, because I did this to someone in the beginners league the other night: do not let your enemy build 30 Thors. They will rock your face.

If you build 3 bases and have 45 SCV's harvesting you'd be amazed how quickly you can do stuff. And if the enemy leaves you alone, 3 bases is not a big deal at all.
I once had 8 bases and my opponent was mad when he nuked two and didnt get a reaction from me. He had 1 1/2 when I slaughtered him.
 
I'm down for playing some friendly AT games. I don't know the general skill level etc but I'm sure it would be a good time all around.

btw is there a thread with all the AT gamer id's for SC2 like we do with some of the other games? Makes it easier to find people etc, unless nobody wants to share that is.

I played someone so new in a placement match that all they did was make two scv's then lifted off his base and flew it to me.. I killed him with 2 marines

I'm a starcraft newbie and suck at the pvp matches, but that's just pathetic! At least play against the computer before completely embarrassing yourself like that.

May have thrown the game on purpose so he'd get placed low and be matched against noobs.

Hmmmm...maybe I should try that 🙂. I accidentally skipped the beginner ladder (or whatever it's called), so I'm stuck with people who might know what they're doing.
 
I'd love to play with you guys but I never play RTS's online cus I always get rocked. Still need to finish the campaign.

That was what I was thinking. He probably wanted to get placed in the garbage bracket so he could feel good about himself beating people who don't know the game very well.

see i thought about that as well, but the thing is after i attacked his base with a marine he ran lifted off and ran away with it, and tried to use his scv's to attack my 2 marines that I sent after him. Just dont get why he would fight at all if he wanted me to kill him
 
dammit i can't get back to my gaming comp soon enough... i would love to play with you guys, but first i need my comp back, and i need to finish the camaign. or, screw the campaign, i just need the comp...
 
An AT stream would be fun. We could do some show matches and then have the players come into the stream for commentary. Even if the play wasn't particularly good I'm sure if they were matched relatively even it would still be entertaining.

Neither did I, but since I bought the game I thought I might do some multiplayer as well. I don't suck too much but I'm definitely not good and it seems there is people of all skill levels, I've played lots of very even games and enjoyed it a lot. I guess it'll be the same with an AT SC2 clan.

Sign me up as soon as I figure how to not let you see my real name.

Someone with a Core i7 920 or better needs to do it though. Streaming on Justin.tv and such requires serious horsepower. Dual cores don't cut it. (I tried to do it with a 3.8Ghz E7200 and it doesn't work nicely... so many dropped frames)

Anyway... I'll join in on this. I'm horribly bad right now though. I still have problems managing bases. It seems whenever I start managing my army to attack shit my economy goes to hell because I just don't check in on my warpgates and such.
