Starcraft and a linksys router

My roommate wants to play Starcraft behind our Linksys router with 4 port switch, but everytime he tries to play it lags like crazy and he can't play. Anyone know why this might be happening?

You can't play in the same game. You can join seperate games and it should be fine.

There is no solution. Blizzard won't help you...

nah not the same game. he just wants to play with himself [hahahah] i don't wanna play.

Go there...I think the process is the same...
Another question..my friend and I play on separate comps both behind firewalls. For some reason we'll be able to get 1 game in...then it won't let him join my game and it says player has accepted your invitation but cannot join because of mine or his settings. The thing is nothing changed from the game before....
