What do you guys think? I know there were rumors for a long time about this game, and then nothing appeared. Do you think Blizzard will ever make a Starcraft 2 RTS?
 
Nope...that was a rumor waay waay back....seems like nothing is going to happen. Only game they made is that sc ghost for gamecube.

they're only publishing it. some other company is developing Ghost.
 
with WoW looking to be the next big hit, who really cares anyway 😀 war3 is satisfying enuf if ur an rts fan, and u can still find 90k users on brood war
 
Not for a while anyways, blizzard wants to develop a new world (other than starcraft warcraft diablos), after they finish with world of warcraft, then AFTER that they might go ahead and either start working on a sc2... of course most of blizzard dev's left when that one guy did so they really don't have the original sc team so it probably would be more like a faster paced bigger food limit wc3 more than anything.... /absent minded
 
Word has it that it just might be the next game from Blizzard. I remember hearing something about a Blizzard employee letting something slip about it.

I wouldnt mind seeing it on a newly modified WCIII engine 😀

Hell, I wouldnt mind seeing Diablo 3!
 
It would be very "Un-Blizzard like" not to. Starcraft was a huge hit, (heck it was one of the most popular games in Korea at least to 2002). Diablo, Warcraft, both with fairly good sequals, but neither really as popular as starcraft (IMO)

hehe it's still there you should check out that korean gaming channel in the other OT thread. They showed SC tournies and other games like CS:Zero tournies are being played on 10/28.
 
Who cares if they do, Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle Earth would be better no matter what Blizzard came up with.

I believe its a joint project, and its for PS2 and X-Box as well.

 
Diablo III whether it exists or not has nothing to do with a dalayed SC2 since Blizzard North makes those games and not the Blizzard HQ. Yea, SC: Ghost is being developed by some console company.
 
They need to, SC 1 is showing its age and I think Wahammer: DOW is way better than SC1. SC1 was cool when it came out, and still is to a certain extent, but its time for an upgrade.
