You have the same attitude my friend does when he gets banned for hacking on first person shooters. Imo you can go ahead and continually get banned like he does and end up repurchasing a game just to play it. One day you'll learn :sneaky:. Had to feed the troll a bit, sorry for it being my first post lol.

I had to change my character name in World of Warcraft from smackababy. Eventually, I had to change my XboxLive gamertag as well. Kind of silly if you ask me.

Actually I thought Santa was German, and much tougher than you see in the coke ads. Coal and switches? Demon follower who kidnapped bad children? And so on.

I don't know, I suppose I picture you joining chat and getting into some sort of argument with someone where you call them hitler, at which point you realize that hitler is a censored word and at which point, they realize they'd like to report you. So you get reported, admin comes along and decides he doesn't want to deal with your shit and bans you. Often times, people get banned not because of 1 single thing, but because several things came together at the same time.

The assumption here, on my part, (but it is a safe one) is that Blizzard isn't watching every name that beats the filter. They are taking action when one of your peers reports your name.

The only chat I have used was in game or the group chat, with people that I know.

I never called anyone Hitler? Why would I call someone Hitler?

Is there even a public chat room in the game at this time? I do not think that there is one.

Me naming myself ScrtJewSanta and someone using a cheat program are equal to you?

Dude, seriously what is wrong with you people?

So he also expected a warning due to his hack?

I did not purchase the game it was free - it is a beta.

What lesson should I learn here. Please share with me the lesson I am missing. I know that people are overly sensitive already.

See, I agree. Smackababy is a funny name. Anyone offended is clearly retarded or the pope. Or perhaps a retarded pope.

I would have thought it was dumb if they asked me to change my name, but would have complied. Thus solving the "issue" of my name ScrtJewSanta.

Why do people do stupid crap and not expect consequences?

The bankers didn't have any consequences, Wall Street didn't.

The previous school superintendent here got a $1 million bonus for "closing the achievement gap" between Caucasian and minorities by lowering the minimum high school pass requirements to 1.5 GPA and not actually accomplishing anything in terms of learning. Then Duval county fired him and now our tax money will pay for his health benefits for years to come, as well as a severance package.

Tell me again, what exactly is it in America that should make me expect consequences?

Banned for retarded name that is possibly offensive. And judging from your posts I bet there is more asshattery not included in your story. Not sure what the problem is.

I assume you think that ScrtRetardSanta would be a less offensive, more appropriate name?

edit: I guess the OP might pick that next:

I see the irony of my original name was lost on you and that you are indeed hypersensitive and somehow harmed by the name Smackababy.

Its okay, I think nitromullet is a dumb name too, and probably offends someone.

Hacking != moderately inappropriate name.
