Yep. And it still tastes like they ran hot water through an ashtray to produce it. o_O

A tall Starbucks drip coffee was $1.25 in 1994. Now it's $1.95. Adjusted for inflation, it should be $2.01, so they've actually dropped the price over the years.

Truly not seeing the outrage here. In-n-out Burger charges twice what McDonald's does for a cheeseburger, and they seem to be doing just fine charging more for a better product.

Starbucks doesn't taste any better.

Unfortunately for me, the GF is absolutely obsessed with Starbucks.

The local coffee house I frequent in winter mornings will fill up my 30 Oz Yeti mug for $2.00, with some of my cocoa, I can whip up a decent enough mocha for my long commute. On top of that, their drip coffee is superior to any Starbucks drip.

Yep, nbd. Plus, the coffee still tastes bleh.

What's more annoying - the coffee place across from my place of work shrank the size of the small and also increased the price. Fortunately, 99% of the time, I stick to 1 mug/day that I have at home before leaving for work.

I occasionally go to Starbucks for a triple shot espresso. That's about it. No coffee, etc...

McDonalds, sadly can't deliver that as far as I am aware. I need my cocaine (I mean caffeine) socially acceptable drug handled appropriately.

I've started to only buy coffee when there is promos going on. Usually Dunkin.
After jets/giants win .25 cent medium.
They also had a promo for like 2 months 99 cents large iced dark roast so I took full advantage of that.

Starbucks only if there is a reward on my wife's account and only the reserve brew ( comes out to like 7-8 bucks ) for a large iced.

Go to Dunkin Donuts. It's cheaper and it tastes better. The only thing is that it's not trendy but nobody will scoff at you for having an Android phone.

I've never been to a Starbucks. They're everywhere around here, but they're outnumbered by other coffee shop by at least 10:1. I like 7-eleven coffee just fine.

Most of the time, I'm not really satisfied with their regular coffee, it tastes watered-down, and it doesn't start out hot enough. McDonald's regular on the other hand, once it finally cools down, is great, imo.

Paying even $1 for a large coffee grates on me. I can get 34oz of Wegmans brand French roast grinds for $7. It's the equal of any carryout coffee, and virtually free on a per cup basis.

McD's coffee is fine with me. Don't care for SB as I find it too bitter. It may be great coffee, but my brain associates the taste with the coffee that has been on the burner much too long.

Another good place is hyvee gas station. They have really good coffee, hot chocolate and heck the soda fountain is good. They are also $1 a large.

we have 2 starbucks in town. they are always packed. so they must be doing something right.
