Starbuck open on Christmas Day

Found out that Starbuck's Coffee will be open on X-mas Day this year. I think its ridiculous that they will be open and think it will be one of their lowest earning days of the year. Any opinions? Will any of you leave your family or take them out to Starbuck's for X-mas Coffee?

What a load of crap. If I worked at a place like that and they told me to come in and work on Xmas I would tell them to go screw themself.

Um, Jewish people don't drink coffee? Athiests don't drink coffee? Not everyone in the United States shuts down completely on Christmas.

(not trying to sound like an ass 😛)

Yep, I don't celebrate Christmas, perfect if I feel like grabbing a cup of coffee.

You're saying that all of the Jew's & Athiests will be @ Starbuck's on X-mas day, besides X-mas is a secular holiday.

Gosh, it's more important that things aren't open on Thanksgiving. You go walk around on Christmas day, people are out. Go out on Thanksgiving and literally, all streets are DEAD empty. I went to Safeway to grab some egg nog cuz we ran out and then I was surprised that ppl were still working there =(.

Christmas day isn't all that important. There are far more people that don't celebrate Christmas.

To be fair, Starbucks is known for their healthcare benefits and even ones that are given to part-time employees. There is an excess of people who would kill to work for starbucks. I'm sure they would love to see you get fired for your outburst.

EDIT: I don't drink coffee nor see the importance of Christmas so.....

I don't recall typing that in my post at all....I was, however, simply stating that not everyone is completely involved in Christmas on the 25th of December. Other people have lives outside of worshiping Christ, and probably apprieciate businesses being open.

People do stuff on xmas day, maybe not in the morning, but in the afternoons most people get out and do stuff. People go to the movies, sporting events, friends. The roads are quite busy actually. If people are out and about, they will stop at a starbucks.

I bet that on xmas they will have more revenues than superbowl sunday, when the roads are a lot quieter than xmas.
