After being redeemed to the light, Revan still had the True Sith to worry about and went off along to stop them. Then KOTOR 2 takes place and loose ends are tied up.

Apparently Revan failed because now the True Sith arrive and tear the Jedi a new one. This is when TOR takes place.

I've yet to read any literature that suggests such. Outside of this game, I haven't heard of any true Sith returning to the Republic.

Judging by what they did to star wars galaxies I'm not so sure.
 
Is it just me or is all of the gameplay footage release so far really low FPS? I wonder if that is an artifact of the recording or if the alpha (beta?) code just needs a lot of performance tweaks.

I noticed that as well. It must have been alpha code because the demo they were showing on G4 (they showed you starting out as a sith) looked pretty smooth too me.

Yeah I see what you mean now. I usually skip the ones with G4 hosts/commentators because they make me want to throw my speakers out the window. :whiste:

When you watched The Empire Strikes Back did you refuse to believe Darth Vader was Luke's father because you hadn't "read any literature that suggests that?"

Its a new game. It has new "lore" that you haven't heard about yet. Thats what helps make it new. I don't know what else to tell you if you refuse to believe what will become canon just its new.

My enthusiasm and excitement after watching the animated trailers is only surpassed by the underwhelming response elicited from me after watching gameplay footage.

WoW is indeed a good mmo. or at least was. At any rate you've mentioned 1 game from a genre that spans many years in existance.

How about WAR, AoC, Aion, and countless others.

Sure there are failures, but there will be in ANY genre. Everquest - success; Ultima Online - success; Final Fantasy XI - success.

And clearly, I am a WoW fanboi because when a game has 11 million subscribers, has TWO expansions that were the fastest selling title upon release, and is the benchmark for what a successful MMO is, I defend it. Grow up

He's citing the trend, not the exceptions.

There have been far, far more failures that have been highly hyped than the success stories you mention.
