Looks REALLY good. But, I'm just stunned at the level of power that the main character is toting around. It makes the Force powers shown in the movies, cartoons, etc look feeble in comparison.

Looks really cool. But yeah his power level is insane. He should be the Sith Lord.

Why are storm troopers fighting him? Arn't they on the same side?

That's how it has been in all the stuff outside the main movies where there really wasn't much beyond light saber use. The gameplay from the trailer really doesn't look like anything more than a next gen Jedi Knight game.

I agree. I don't see why you'd ever want to use anything else if you have that kind of power. Still REALLY looking forward to this game though. I have faith in LucasArts to pull this off. They better make a Xwing or Tie Fighter remake after this...I miss those old games.

While the mechanics of Wii support might be good...the physics implement would likely suck compared to what they are able to do with 360/PS3...I'm happy with them sticking to a next-gen platform instead of trying to make it a Wii title too.

 Those were some of the most fun/entertaining games I ever played on PC. It was probably the most I ever spent on a controller too. ;)

Totally agreed. I actually played through the entire X-Wing game with a mouse if you can believe it. That mouse looked like it had been dragged through the trenches of WW1 after I was done...it was ridiculous. I also think I had worse wrist injuries from that then when I discovered online porn. Needless to say, I saved up my pennies and bought a nice joystick for Tie Fighter.

I never really played the X-Wing games, but I loved flying missions for the Empire in Tie Fighter. The ability to save a movie of your entire mission, and then not only watch it but then enter the game from any point in the saved movie was simply awesome.

you raise an excellent point. it just sucks that i bought a new system only to have it collect dust. i play my original xbox and snes more than my wii.

i also agree with you on the x-wing/tie fighter games. i've got a saitek x-52 that is just dying to get used on an x-wing game more recent than alliance.

Oh gosh. Don't remind me on how complete games used to be. Nothing compares to TIE fighter!

Hopefully Wii 2.0 will be competitive to that generation's hardware...it will make me much more likely to buy one. The Wii collecting dust has been a common theme from a lot of my friends who have them. They play Wii sports until it gets old...and then only use it when someone comes over that has never played before. It's a shame. The same system with better hardware would have been fantastic.

You guys are going to make me fire up tie fighter! Haven't played that in quite some time. I never thought scanning cargo freights would be fun until I located Rebel Scum in them!

It's also coming out for the PS2 and DS.

In I-III the amount of force power used in the movies was a bit more than the first series.

I can only hope we get to manipulate a Star Destroyer in game. Even if it is just dragging it out of the atmosphere and crashing it.

I'm ok if this is just like Jedi Knight - I love all of those games. The saber battles are the best part. Did I read correctly that this will be supported on PS3?

Looks sick. I loved every Dark Forces/Jedi Knight game (haven't played any of the KOTORs though I understand they're very good), so hopefully Lucasarts maintains their high standards.

The level of power doesn't seem all the unreasonable to me. While certainly much more magnificent than the original movies, I think it's about right or even weaker in comparison to some of the books and comics.

I agree, now on to Tie Fighter/Xwing remakes, and maybe continuations of Grim Fandango and Full Throttle...:D
