TREK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(This is 10/17/04 with me trying to get my beard going before halloween so I could trim it to a better shape for the big night... it looked a lot less stupid once I trimmed it... not that I looked any less stupid overall 😉)

We just took them out of the packages... we got them off ebay and I think they were made in the early 90s lol. A decade in a clear plastic bag container will do that 🙂

They looked good 2 weeks later when we needed them
 
Been a hard core star wars fan since 6-7 years old.But with the recent stupid episode 1 n 2, star trek have taken the lead.

NOTE that i am not listening star trek a lot, but i just think now that, star wars is getting very crappy, and..its getting very old.

Im sick of SW sorry to say that.I tough i would stay a fan forever, but no.Its over.I got no hype at all for episode 3( but like everyone, yeah i will go see it at theater).

RAISE....DARTH VADER...SO YOU CAN FALL FOREVER!

Star Wars 3, 4 and 5 are great movies. No doubt. But the original Star Trek show, is just too good. And now with Episodes 1/2 being so craptastic, I've got to give it to Trek.

(note: I'm not a huge Star Trek or Star Wars fan, but they are both good)

I just bought/installed KOTOR yesterday. I think I'm hooked already.

Hey getting back to that Borg cube vs. Death Star debate... wouldn't the cube adapt to whatever the DS threw at it? I guess if the DS got the first shot in with the "laser" 😉 that it would be pretty much nothing left but Borg parts floating around, but you never know. It would be interesting to see... ehehe i'm SUCH a geek and I love it. If you recall the beginning of ST: First Contact, there were like 20 Federation ships attacking the Borg with standard weapons and no real damage was being done until the Enterprise showed up (I LOVE THAT PART omg).

Trekkies are huge nerds.. at least star wars geeks only come out of their caves every few years. Star wars is waaaay better. Much more interesting story.
 
well, are we talking in terms of fighting power or how good the shows/movies were?

in both cases, ST wins, they have : captain kirk, captain sisko... 'nuff said
star wars has: jarjar binks and samuel L jackson as mace windu..... same thing goes, 'nuff said! 😛
 
There have been 5 series of star trek Among all of them, there were probably less than 30 truly great episodes. I'd say it's something like 2% great, 15% good, 50% meh, 33% awful.

The only star wars series I know of is the microseries on cartoon network which is very good and original. There are about 20 episodes of that. 100% great.

I am in the back of my mind recalling something to do with ewoks as well, but since I am not sure it was a series and not a movie or mini series...

There have been, what, 9 movies of star trek. Only star trek 2 is all that good. If they wrote 100 movies, I suspect still only star trek 2 would be all that good.

There are 6 movies of star wars. 2 were great, 1 was good, 2 were ok. Edit for clarity: one we don't know yet.

If a new movie came out and it was the best movie of the year, would I rather it be star wars or star trek? Star wars, no question.

All in all, star wars is better. But star trek has a greater potential, which it so often falls short of. The only true "science fiction" (as opposed to space opera) has been in the star trek tv shows.
