Tie fighter and KOTOR, versus 50+ horrible star wars games. I'd say star trek has better odds. I remember a few good games (not great) and only a couple of bad ones.

Star Trek > Star Wars

I like SW a lot but it's just for kids, I mean cmon look at the last 2 movies they sucked horribly. SW is like watching a cartoon now, but ST is more serious, more realistic, the ships are more logical and more powerful. :D

Edit: A fleet of 20 Defiant Class ships would easily destroy a fleet of 200 Star Destroyers in minutes.

Uh... the last two star trek movies sucked too.

Edit: so much so that in my earlier post I forgot that one of them even existed when counting the # of movies.

Star Wars 97

Star trek 77

Star Wars>Star Trek

Star Wars is still leading strong.

sorry guys, i like Star trek myself, but Star Wars just blows them away.

and for the guy that says ST is more realistic, HELLO, this is Sci-fi. if i wanted more realism, I'd watch the discovery channel.
If i want action, thrills, and all around sci-fi greatness, I'll watch Star Wars.

and yes Eps1 and 2 arnt up to par with the org trillagy, but the org trillagy still blows away any and all star trek movies.

and judging from the poll all last night and all day today I'd say I'm in the majority.;)
:p

one death star could take on an entire Star Trek Fleet

the technology of the st universe is so obviously & significantly superior. though the force would pwn them.

The Death Star wouldn't stand a chance, if you haven't heard laser based weaponry cannot even penetrate the navigational shielding of the old Enterprise, much less a TNG ship, the laser would just push a ship with its force buit when it impacts the shields the laser would cause no damage. Star Trek ships only have to fire once at it, because the firepower from one phaser blast is the equivalent of a Star Destroyer firing all of its 1800+ heavy laser batteries at once. Besides all Star Trek would have to do is get in range and beam in a quantum torpedo inside the Death Star reactor and KABOOM!!!

Really theres no point in arguing this, yes I love SW, But Star Trek imo is better in almost every aspect. Star Trek has more powerful ships, more advanced technology, more realistic in terms of what man can do, and a society that one could only dream of in terms of the Federation.

New Enterprise

Sovereign class
U.S.S. Enterprise
NCC-1701

versus

everything Star Wars

Enterprise laughs at them and blows them up.

The end.

in other words the borg vs the death star?

death star by a wide margin. That thing was DEVASTATING.

Depends, since Borg do not have shields just heavyly reinforced and rapidly regenerative hulls, the Death Star potentially could destroy one, however if you are talking about more than one cube, then the Borg win, because the Borg adapt.

I am a Trek Nerd, proud of it, I've talked to Robert Picardo (The Doctor, or Endgame Part 1, known as "Joe") =) at a convention, along with Nana Visitor (Major Kira) Ethan Phillips (Neelix) Chase Masterson (Leeta). I also have the newly revised Trek Encyclopedia so I have proof of what I say is backed up in the shows!!!

So there!
I win.
:p

Most fun I've ever had at a convention was when I met her

Star Wars is black and white.

Star Trek is shades of grey.

Star trek carries on the great traditions of classic Sci-fi by revealing a part of ourselves, delving into true moral questions, and showing what could be.

Star Wars is a good shoot 'em up. But Trek can on occasion kick ass too.

You can guess how I voted.

Everyone is forgetting the most important part of this ludicrous technology debate... star was is set a long time ago. Star trek is set in the future. If star wars people met up with star trek people in the future, by then their technology would be incredibly advanced. In the star trek universe the star trek people were probably just protoplasm at the time of star wars.

I voted Star Trek. Even though I loved the Star Wars movies when they came out (I was 10 years old when the first one was released-must have seen it ten times in the theater) I like the stories, the exploration of space and the scientific discovery in Star Trek.

I read somewhere that Star Wars > Star Trek because in the Star Wars universe, there's no such thing as a "STUN" setting. :)
