i can't remember the last time i even looked at a movie's rating. i guess it doesn't matter much when you're an adult.

Unless you have a 7yr old who loves all things Star Wars. Probably won't get to see this one though.

I've already began preparing him for the possibility that he won't get to see it. The Mrs. and I will see it first and decide if he can. He knows this and has accepted it.

My kids know better than to throw a tantrum.

what would be great is if they had jar jar betray them and then obi-wan hunted him down and cut his head off with his lightsaber.

they did report him killing the Jedi children, not sure if it is shown or just implied

He walks in and the younglings ask him what they should do. Anakin then ignites his lightsaber and the the scene cuts. Later you see the younglings bodies on the floor.

It, unfortunately, appears that he lives.

that would have been the only way Lucas could truly begin to redeem himself in fans' eyes ...

he'll probably be Luke and Leias wet nurse :Q

I love Canadian movie ratings... soo much lax compared to you guys in the states... 9 times out of 10, any R movie in the States will be only 14A here... there's only a couple exceptions.. .those being Kill Bill, and Interview with the Vampire, were both R here.. really strange to have R movies here.. but yeah a run down of what we've got.. in Ontario at least:

G - Suitable For All, Appropriate for viewing by any age.
PG - Parental Guidance. Parents should exercise discretion in permitting children to view the film.
14A - Adult Accompaniment Persons younger than 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
18A - Adult Accompaniment Persons younger than 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
R - Restricted to persons 18 years of age or older.

But yeah.. it'll probably be PG here anyays.. unless they boost it to 14A.
