Star Wars: Racer vs. WinXP

I'm trying out all my older games to see how they rock on the new rig. Well, it installed and goes thru the prerace stuff without a hitch, but the moment the race starts, the screen went orange and the sound looped and that was it. I had to restart Windows.

Anyone else able to get this to work? Specs in the sig. Latest drivers, etc. Thanks.

yea, works great on my computer. it's in the sig as Skywalker. you might want to try reinstalling the sound and video drivers. and check your device manager to see if it has multiple drivers.

It shouldn't. It's a new (3 weeks) build with a clean install of XP and then the 23.11s installed. I'll hav eto try it again later. Thanks.

Racer works ok for me on the beta machine in my sig, now running Win XP Pro....

However, it crashes and reboots or just crashes when I bust out Rogue Squadron, and on my brothers machine it has issues with the text. Even when older compatability modes are activated...
