I watched Star Wars episodes 4,5, and 6 back-to-back this weekend (the originals) and I got curious. How much time is there between episodes 5 and 6?? I have seen these three movies tons of times, but never back-to-back. So i guess thats what really brought it to my attention.

There has to be a significant period of time between them. The 2nd Death Star went from non-existent to more than half way done.
Luke became really good with the force.
Yoda went from talkative and "alive" to being really sick then dead.
Lando infiltrated Jabba's gaurds.

All of these things had to have taken a long time, right?

Anyone have an idea of the time frame??

I believe they built both Death Stars at the same time.

actually, no one knows how much time elapsed. it could have been a couple of weeks, or a year.
