His complaint was that by linking people were sucking too much of his bandwidth and his bandwidth costs were going through the roof, which they were. He may have backed down on the linking policy, but last I knew they were still in force.

I think you guys misunderstood the no linking policy. What they probably mean is no "hot linking" or posting individual pics on message boards that allow picture posting (not like here). SA actually uses a script that will show disgusting porn of some sort if a picture gets hot linked from his servers.

Telling people not to link to a page of your site is stupid. You're not understanding what "not linking" means... it's when you would post a picture on a forum and it would load automatically and thus consume more bandwidth and also not credit the original site. Whether you copy/paste a link in your browser or click the link is no different.
