Force Unleashed 1 was good for Ps3, bought number 2 for PC and it's terrible.

The older games where they give you a bit of ability to roam are all outdated.

Anyone know the best age/quality/graphical ability compromise for a game you can explore and light saber people?

FU2 and even 1 is a bit annoyying with the stupid levels with 25 walkers and that typical boss ending type scenario.

Something a bit more fallout 3 i'm thinking. There were a few I think, academy, outcast and them, but can't remember which I played, and which might still look OK?

Jedi Knight 2: Outcast was an awesome game for its day and probably what you're looking for. Jedi Academy wasn't bad either.

KOTOR 1 - 2 were great RPGs, but not sandbox at all. Combat is also 100% D&D dice rolls, no aiming.

Dark Forces: Jedi Knight & KOTOR are the best Star Wars games I have played.

Agreed, although the first game was more polished. KOTOR 1 is for sure in the top five all time of my favorite games. I liked the second game as well, but it had a lot of plot holes and the ending was very rushed and unfinished IMO. However, a friend I played with liked the second game more than the first.

Too bad they never finished up the trilogy. Curse you Bioware/EA/Lucas Arts!

well, if you play the flashpoints in ToR, that is basically the follow up to the KoToR storyline--though it's a piddly little bone in perspective.

Bioware needs to release a real KOTOR sequel. Maybe in ~2-3 months, when ToR goes F2P and they shift their (Star Ears) attention elsewhere.

Word. I'd be all over a new X-Wing/TIE Fighter game. By far the most enjoyable star wars games I have played. Even the original was awesome.

The Jedi knight games are great but the graphics are pretty dated.
KOTOR is obviously a must have for any Star Wars fan.
I actually rather enjoyed SW Battlefront 2 but its pretty broken and I don't believe they ever bothered to patch it post release.

I really wish someone would make a GOOD Star Wars RTS. I very much enjoyed Empire At War and you should definitely take a look at it if you're into RTS games at all.
