The Phantom Menace sucked in 2D ... what was anyone expecting? 3D was supposed to make crap look/smell better?

i saw it because i enjoy the franchise, but the 3d part was absolutely worthless.
I'm planning on doing reviews of all the Star Wars films. Going to watch them in the order Lucas intended to see how it really pans out. I'm not paying for it again though so I'll just hit up the DVDs.
Spaceballs 2: The search for more money.
haha Al Brooks should have been a fortune teller.
Watching it the first time didn't give you a hint the movie sucked?![]()
I've seen it twice. Sucked equally both times.
Nope it sucked the first time.
It sucked the second time and since posting I've watched it again, sucked the third time aswell
Meh, if done well it might have made the action scenes more engaging, more eye candy etc. I was hoping they had actually shot it in 3D back in the day but kept it 2D for technical reasons, in which case the 3D could have been awesome (imagine the light-sabers jumping out at you during the duel). But nope, just a shitty upconversion of a 2D movie.
What on earth gave you any idea that it might have possibly been shot in 3D in 1998?
Why did you go see it the second time? :hmm:
