Jar Jar sucks! There were many times in EP1 and EP2, where I was secretly praying, "Please let them kill him off now!! PLEASE GOD!!!". My prayers remain unanswered as I've heard he is in EP3. Maybe he'll die in that one.

Oh, and the metachlorians are there to set the Jedi apart from all the normal beings. If everyone had the force, or the ability to use it, then you couldn't kill off all the Jedi without wiping out everyone but the Sith.

Yes, I do realize that point has been made by others, but I don't care.

That was my biggest indictment too as I've posted here before. After watching ANH, I think all little boys thought, If I just focus hard enough I can make anything happen. That's a good moral and a great dream to take from a movie. After EPI, every little kid leaves the theatre thinking, I wonder if you can contract the force if someone sneezes nearby you?

The students on ninjitsu are selected by Ninja masters (how, I don't know) and dedicate their lives to pursuing the art of Ninja combat and thinking. So, no, you can't just decide to become a Ninja someday and signup for classes at the local YMCA.........it could have been the same with the Jedi order.

Just as the technology in the SW universe was more advanced than anything we know, I figured the Jedi order would be like a more advanced Ninjitsu kind of thing. Of course, George Lucas has other much MUCH better ideas. :roll:

Isn't it a bit redeeming that Jar Jar is ultimately responsible for the rise of the Empire by giving Chancellor Palpatine full power?

Well, in Ninjitsu, they don't pick students until they're older and you can see who they really are. Presumably, Jedi should be more perceptive and not need to wait as long.
