Did anyone think the design of the 1st Death Star sucked? Having an exhaust port down a trench, lightly protected?

What about the 2nd Death Star, while incomplete it still had a big hole for the Falcon to fly through.

Think you can do a better job at designing one? Look at the top right to get started.

Great idea, poor execution. I was hoping something would happen after I built one...

It'd be awesome for a simulator to take over with a rebel attack on your design.

Yea.. it doesn't really do much. It is more of a math exercise than anything else.

Actually both death stars were of the same design. Construction of the second had to have started a few years after the first one, so there was no way to know of that "design flaw"

Death Star II was still "under construction". The Emperor's plan was to lure the Rebel Fleet to Endor thinking the Death Star was not operational and then destory them. This all failed because Vader allowed the shuttle to land. Had he detained the shuttle, the Rebel fleet would have been doomed.

That was not their destiny....

Since the Death Star II was still under construction there would be contractors working for the Empire on board. Presumably when the Death Star was destroyed a second time they would have all died. Does this make the Rebel Alliance responsible for the murder of 1000's of innocent civilian contractors?

Well that's nothing compared to the number of deaths that resulted because of the impotent Republic indiscision to do anything about the Vong invasion. When they desided to so something too little too late. 365 Trillion deaths.
