Can anyone say suck? The graphics are average, the gameplay is an exact close of EA's Battlefield 1942 its another BF1942 set in the SW universe, except the game dynamics of BF1942, i.e flight, movement beats SWB's by far.


What a waste of time.

You guys may think it stinks but my kids and their friends (7-10 yo) have had a blast with it since it came out. I have it running on 4 computers on my home LAN (you only need to put disk 1 in to start the game luckily, it doesn't need to stay in. Thanks Lucas Arts!). Anyway they love teaming up in the snow speeders to bring down the big Imperial walkers with the tow cables. Of course while they're doing it I sneak to the upstairs machine, join the Imperial team and park a walker outside the hangar door and blow up the snow speeders as they spawn just to bug them

By the way, has anybody else had trouble installing this game? Each computer I installed it on I had to try about 4-6 times each before I got a complete install, it would lock up at some point or another. Finicky but worth it in the end.

I second the Galactic Conquest as a great mod for a game most of you probably already have.

I do not have SWBF, but I haven't heard great things about it, just good things.

for the xbox this game is great, there aren't that many good multiplayer games out there. My only complaint is that you can't play split screen and do system link at the same time.

I guess this thread reinforces the believe that the xbox has considerably lower standards than the PC.

no, it just means they suck at porting the game from the consoles.

Oh well, time to find another game, if it could have gfx like doom3 that would be great, but that would mean pretty hefty system specs. Anyway, has anyone tried Rome : Total War yet?

Oh and yea, I had a problem installing it too, had an error msg pop up something like a DialogueOnDemand blah blah, but it worked fine after that 1st error

Nah, they definitely don't "suck"... Sure, they aren't Doom 3 or Far Cry, but neither are 99% of the other games out there.

Note: Those are 1280x960 w/4x AA, but I just realized that I have Anisotropic Filtering turned off.

Those graphics are absolutely atrocious. The textures look like they're right out of a cartoon. More than just Doom 3 or Far Cry outpace this game for graphics.... think, Call of Duty, hell, Vietcong has better graphics than that!

Sorry, but I disagree, it does "suck". It's poor graphics on a recycled game.

I've been playing this. since my computer sucks, it runs very well on my ti4200. It kind of bored me after a week of playing.

my brother finally got an xbox and this was his first game for it
he likes it, not in an "omg this game rules" kinda way, he wants to get xbox live and try it online.

i think its ok, nothing special in any way; hard for me to play being used to pcs....that and i really dislike the xbox controller; is that just me?
