I just don't get it. Here's what I do get: They are 60,000 light years away from home and they are trying to get back to earth.

So tell me, why is it that at the end of every episode they always appear to be traveling 1/4 impulse engines? Shouldn't they be doing warp 7 or 8?

I think they're 30,000 light years away now... Kes, some random event, and just general travel have gotten them closer. The "crusing along at impulse" at the end of every episode is just for dramatic effect...

Oh, just a funny note about this weeks episode... the other captain says he's headed in the opposite direction, does that mean he's heading directly into Borg territory?

NFI... I just watch an episode where Reg, on earth I assume, sent a message to Voyager using a worm hole and they exchanged some data and that was the end of the show. Wooo hooo I must say that Counsellor Deana Troi was on that episode. Oiiiii

Anyways, interesting show, that Reg Barcley is still a messed up guy, yet amusing to watch.

I assume that going the fastest possible all the time would use up their resourses quickly. They don't know where to get resourses. They have to keep looking as they go along. You know...they actually cook food they find, etc.

yup, but they seem more primative then they should be sometimes.. resource mining shouldn't take all that long witha ll their transporter tech. Course they have a habit of sending down #%@ away teams.

anyhow they should be one of the most powerful federation ships by now:p borg tech + comms with fed for up to date info for rest of tech.. and now shared tech from temp alliance:p

They have to travel at impulse power in the credits so that you can see them :D

Guys, think about it.... what do you want to see at the end of the show?

Voyager at impulse speed or Jeri Ryan and the crew?

I rest my case.

BTW,

If the Borg now have trans-warp technology, and the Federation doesn't....

Why don't they come back and kick our asses?

maybe thats whats going down when they finally get back :Q

Janeway: "Yes! We've made it back!"

Chovok: "Captian, it appears that the Earth has been destroyed!"

Neelix: "Would you like a cheese on that Vulcun Burger? snort, oink."

7 of 9: "Resistence is Futile!"

<< I think they're 30,000 light years away now... >>

If Janeway would stop taking every detour they'd have been back already. Every episode should go down like this:

"Capt., I'm reading two unknown warp signatures 2 light years out."
"Avoid them Mr. Paris."
"Yes maam."
(roll credits).

But, nooooooooooo, Janeway's gotta investigate. She's a lucky SOB in that fate makes up for her detours. :)

The Borg are probably too busy with other species, besides, there has to be a long standing battle with the federation and who better than the Borg.

Does anyone know of a Species that kick the Borg's butt?

Forgive me guys, I haven't watch Voyager for over 2 years, just started to watch it again...3 months ago in fact. I watched Voyager when it first came out, saw the nelix & the whole Kes experience and somehow I didn't watch anymore. Damn online gaming addicting got me. hehe

There was one species that was kicking Borg's butt and Borg and Janeway made alliance against it. I didn't see the original episode, but they referred to it in another episode that I saw.

Wasn't it species 8572 that really got the best of the borg? The ones from fluidic space?

They were cool. Seemed to be about the only ones that could stand up to them...

I always wondered why the Borg went after the federation but didn't go after the Romulans or Klingons.

They're in the same neighborhood, right?

JasonG,

That's because the feds didn't have a being like "Q" to properly introduce them to the Borg. Plus the feds have pissed the Borg off by resisting assimilation one too many times. They have a score to settle...

If they cut out the 50% of the episodes that were only about the freakin docter this season they might get someplace

Actually, it was species 9872 who gave the Borg a hard time :)

I'm really get'n sick and tired of seeing that doctor steal the show all the time. He seems to come up with some real dandy ideas to get them out of a jam. Why don't they make about 10 of those doctor holograms and let them play a more active role in the survival?

Sup with Jason Alexander in that think tank episode??? That was a little bent.

And why in gods name didn't they try to reproduce another one of those borgs that were created from 7of9's nano-probes during that transport malfunction? He was a real kick arse Einstein-Borg. Sheeesh, he rocked.

The episodes featuring the Doctor are some of Voyager's best episodes. Without him, Voyager would be a lot more boring.

As for the Borg, they'd rather concentrate on reaching perfection than deal with the Federation. Afterall, the Fed has beaten them on two seperate occassions. Besides, why not concentrate on assimilating the entire universe then destroy Earth.

Species 8472 is the correct Borg designation for the inhabitants of Fluidic Space. Cool butch of aliens, especially since they can make themselves appear human.
